Dr James Brown is a Brisbane-based orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee replacement;  ligament, cartilage and meniscus injuries to the knee; and trauma surgery for the lower limb.

Having completed his orthopaedic training predominantly in Brisbane, Dr Brown undertook further subspecialty fellowship training in the United Kingdom, specialising in complex hip and knee replacement surgery in Edinburgh and sports knee surgery in London.

 

Dr Brown consults privately at St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside in Chermside, St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital in Spring Hill, and at a community location in Ascot. He performs private surgery at St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside and St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital.

In addition to his private practice, Dr Brown continues to work in the public hospital system as a Senior Staff Specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital.

 

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA).
